A commemoration of one of the most profound moments in Islamic history when the spiritual station and divine truth of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) was made manifest to all of creation.

فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ

"Whoever disputes with you concerning him after the knowledge that has come to you, say: Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then let us invoke and place the curse of Allah upon those who lie."

The Event of Mubahala

A Defining Moment in Islamic History

The Mubahala (مباهلة mutual invocation of God's curse) took place on the 24th of Dhul-Hijjah in the 9th year of the Hijra. A delegation from Najran came to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to debate the nature of Prophet Jesus (AS).

When debate failed to resolve the disagreement, God revealed Verse 3:61 commanding the Prophet to bring his closest family members for a mutual oath invoking God's curse on those who lie. The Prophet brought Imam Ali (AS), Lady Fatimah (AS), and the young Hasan and Hussein (AS).

Upon seeing this family, the Christian delegation refused to participate in the Mubahala, fearing the power of their station before God. This event stands as a divine attestation of the Ahlul Bayt's spiritual rank.
