The Legal Affairs and Access to Justice Department promotes legal awareness, education, and access to justice within the community. The Department provides educational programs, legal information, community outreach, and resources designed to help individuals better understand their legal rights and responsibilities.
The Department may organize workshops, seminars, presentations, and community discussions on legal issues that affect individuals, families, immigrants, refugees, newcomers, and the community at large. It may also conduct legal research, develop educational materials, and help connect individuals with appropriate legal resources and qualified attorneys when legal representation or professional legal advice is needed.
The Department is committed to promoting equal access to justice, respect for the rule of law, legal education, and awareness of individual rights.
